It was a very interesting series. You have to be intrigued by a futuristic world populated by humans with super powers- it is very X-men. You can see where the story lines are arching towards, but that's okay. Enjoyable characters, interesting twists. It was good to get all four books as a bundle. The characters were the same over the course of the series, however, the central character changed with each book. Some of the characters I connected with and others were a bit hard to like. At times the story seemed a little lacking and maybe just too big for the small story that was trying to be told. Some of the less central characters seemed less developed and were used a little clumsily. The secondary plots seemed aimless, I am sure they will be developed in subsequent volumes. But I did enjoy the series and it whiled away a weekends reading.Product details

I read all 4 books of the series over the last 3 weeks. I was intriqued by the idea of superheroes. It's not normally the type of book I read, and it was a nice break. I checked out this series because I'm a fan of Kelly Meding's other series, Dreg City. I like that while the same characters are in the series, each book changes POV. It's nice to see what each character thinks. I am hoping this series will continue so that we get more POVs and more story.

I loved the characters, the story, and the writing. As far as I'm concerned, this writer can't turn out books fast enough.
